What is Lip Blush?
Lip Blush is a cosmetic lip tattoo that enhances and defines your lips. It can even out natural color, or add color if you lack pigment. Initially, your lips will appear darker and more like lipstick, but they will soften as they heal, resulting in a subtle, natural-looking lip tint. With a touch of gloss or balm, your lips will be perfectly kissable!
How long does it last?
Results vary from person to person. After your initial session and touch-up, the results should last between 2-5 years. Additional touch-ups may be required depending on individual needs and the desired look. Unlike body art ink, permanent makeup ink is designed to fade more quickly, ensuring a more natural appearance over time.
What to expect?
Does Lip Blush hurt?
Pain levels vary for each person. A strong, medical-grade topical anesthetic cream is used before and during the procedure to keep you as comfortable as possible.
How long does the procedure take, and what should I expect?
The procedure takes about 2 hours. A significant portion of this time is spent on consultation and preparation to ensure we are aligned on your desired outcome. After discussing your preferences and finalizing the shape, numbing cream is applied for 20-30 minutes before beginning the procedure. During the process, non-toxic ink may enter your mouth, which doesn't taste great but is safe and ingestible.
Will I still have to wear lipstick? Can other colors look the same on top?
This depends on the look you want to achieve. The colors used in Lip Blush are natural and intended to look soft and subtle. While we can enhance or add color to your lips, the result is meant to be natural. This allows you to wear lipstick over the tattoo, with the option to change up your look without issues.
Can Lip Blush be done on anyone/everyone?
Lip Blush is not suitable for everyone. Please read the contraindications carefully. If any of the following apply, this procedure is not recommended:
Please note: Even if none of the above apply, Lip Blush results cannot be guaranteed. The outcome depends on how your skin retains the pigment, which can be unpredictable.
If you are prone to cold sores, Lip Blush can trigger outbreaks, potentially leading to pigment loss. Clients should take prescribed antiviral medication 48 hours before and after the procedure to prevent outbreaks. You can still undergo Lip Blush, but we want to ensure optimal results. If you have an outbreak or any skin issues (e.g., acne, scratches), reschedule your appointment immediately. Showing up with an outbreak will result in a canceled appointment and forfeiture of your deposit.
